The best music festival in rap, Miami’s Rolling Loud, is set to drop their 2018 lineup this week. After impressing music fans everywhere with their 2017 lineup last year, which brought performances from Travis Scott, Kendrick Lamar, Migos, Gucci Mane, A$AP Rocky, Post Malone and many more, the expectations for this year are at an all-time high.

So in anticipation of the big reveal, we are sharing our list of 10 artists who we would love to see perform at Rolling Loud this May. With so many rappers killing it this year, the Miami festival has a ton of big and emerging names to choose from.

Check out our list of the 10 artists we’d love to see at Rolling Loud 2018!

Cardi B

Who has had a better year than Cardi B? Cardi has been killing it, breaking records left and right and proving her doubters wrong along the way. So of course we would love to see Cardi B bless the stage in 2018, the same stage that her fiance Off-Set performed on in 2017 with the Migos.

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

XXXTentacion

XXXTentacion put on one of the best performances at Rolling Loud Miami last year. And while we want to see some fresh new faces on the lineup this year, we certainly wouldn’t complain if the Florida-native returned to Rolling Loud for another entertaining performance.

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

Tyler The Creator

Tyler The Creator and Vince Staples are on a huge tour this year, so it would be great if Tyler took a break from his headlining tour to hit the festival stage in Miami. Tyler was scheduled to perform at Rolling Loud last year, but had to cancel, so fans would love to see him billed for the festival this year.

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

Post Malone

Post Malone has been surrounded by controversy, but one of the nicest guys in rap is a treat to see live. Post was at Rolling Loud in 2017, and he is at the top of our list of artists who we’d love to see return for a second straight year.

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

Childish Gambino

Childish Gambino may be a stretch, since he has no currently scheduled performances, but after his amazing performance at the Grammys last night and because of his new deal with RCA Records, it would be amazing to see the ‘Redbone’ singer headline a night of Rolling Loud this year.

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

Vic Mensa

Vic Mensa had a big 2017, in addition to releasing new music, Mensa assisted Jay-Z on his huge 4:44 Tour. One of the most political rappers in the genre today, Vic would be a great addition to the festival’s lineup.

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

Eminem

While this would be a huge get for Rolling Loud, it seems as Eminem is performing at every festival under the sun this year. So we will keep our fingers crossed that festival organizers are able to bring Eminem to Rolling Loud as well, for part of his 2018 run. Hearing cuts of his new album, as well as his catalog of hits, would be an unforgettable experience for his Miami fans.

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

G-Eazy

G-Eazy is another rapper who has a big headlining tour ahead of him this year. With a brand new LP to promote, let’s hope that G-Eazy brings a wild show to Rolling Loud this May. Fans would not leave his set disappointed.

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

Brockhampton

The Kevin Abstract-led group, Brockhampton, is one of the biggest emerging groups in rap right now. The Odd Future influenced Abstract is reason alone to catch the group’s live performances, and the rest of the members hold their own as well. Brockhampton is currently on their headlining tour, and are also scheduled to make festival performances this summer, so Rolling Loud is certainly a possibility.

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

Big Sean

Big Sean told fans that a new tour would come this year, so that may mean a few festival performances as well. Last year Big Sean delivered a memorable performance for fans at Lollapalooza, so the GOOD Music stand-out certainly knows how to rock a festival stage. Rolling Loud fans would not be disappointed if the ‘Bounce Back’ rapper performed in 2018.

TDE Championship Tour @ Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre (June 15th)

If Kendrick Lamar wasn’t enough reason to travel to Tinley Park this month, he is bringing his TDE labelmates with him for a monumental performance. With supporting acts like SZA, Schoolboy Q and more, you won’t want to miss out when Top Dawg strolls through the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre.

Loverboy & Survivor @ Ravinia Festival (June 3rd)

Taylor Swift @ Soldier Field (June 1st & 2nd)

Taylor Swift is the biggest artist in the world, and she will be blessing the Windy City with her 2nd and 3rd performances in Chicago in the past year alone. After a great mini holiday concert in Rosemont, for the B96 Jingle Bash, Taylor Swift is taking her show to the big stage (3 stages actually) at Soldier Field this weekend. The tour is getting rave reviews, and come on… it’s Taylor Swift! Are you ready for it?

Roger Daltrey @ Ravinia Festival (June 23rd & 25th)

Who? That’s right. The Who’s Roger Daltrey will also hit the stage at the Ravinia this month. Performing The Who’s classic 1969 album Tommy, you won’t want to miss out on this amazing experience. Lucky for fans, they’ll have two chances because Daltrey is performing in Highland for two nights (6/23 and 6/25).

Dead & Company @ Alpine Valley (June 22nd & 23rd)

Although Alpine Valley is in Wisconsin, many Chicago residents will make the short drive this month to Alpine Valley to catch John Mayer and The Grateful Dead’s “Dead & Company”. Dead & Co. have been touring for a couple years now and they never disappoint.

The Roots @ Ravinia Festival (June 22nd)

If you couldn’t tell by now, Ravinia’s lineup is stacked this month and this year in general. The diverse festival has a little something for everyone, and thats why you can see “Eye of the Tiger” one night and catch Questlove and The Roots just a couple weeks later. The Roots aren’t just Jimmy Fallon’s house band, they are hip-hop legends and definitely worth the price of admission.

B96 Summer Bash @ Allstate Arena (June 23rd)

Last but definitely not least, the B96 Summer Bash is bringing some of the biggest female names in pop to the Allstate Arena on June 23rd. If you thought seeing Taylor Swift, Camila Cabello and Charli XCX was an impressive cast of girl power for one concert, the B96 Summer Bash is bringing Halsey, Alessia Cara, Meghan Trainor, Bebe Rexha, Dua Lipa and more to Chicagoland. With so many big names on one lineup, you won’t want to be anywhere else.

Now that Lollapalooza has come and gone, it’s time to start getting excited about the awesome tours that are still coming to the Windy City.

Whether you’re looking to catch a massive stadium show from Jay Z and Beyonce or looking for something a little more casual, like Jason Mraz at the Ravinia Festival, there is something in Chicago for you in the month of August.

Check out our list of the 7 can’t miss concerts in Chicago this month!

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

Beyonce & Jay Z @ Soldier Field (August 10th & 11th)

Beyonce killed it when she did two nights at Soldier Field in 2016. So how could things get any bigger and better? How about by adding one of the biggest rappers of all-time, her hubby, Jay Z. The two are perhaps the most powerful couple in the world, and they have both dominated their respective genres, so you need to catch one (if not both) of their performances at Soldier Field this month.

Drake & Migos @ United Center (August 17th & 18th)

Drake is on top of the world right now, and it’s hard to name a single artist bigger than the 6 God. Every track he touches is gold, and he is breaking streaming records left and right. So why don’t you do the Kiki challenge while listening to Drake live, when he brings the Migos to the United Center on August 17th and 18th?

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

Pearl Jam @ Wrigley Field (August 18th & 20th)

Pearl Jam have performed at Wrigley Field so many times, that I wouldn’t be surprised if Eddie gets his mail sent there? Although they aren’t Chicago natives, they might as well be, because Pearl Jam has always showed a lot of love for Chicago (and the feeling is mutual). If you haven’t caught Pearl Jam at Wrigley yet, then this is your year, and you have two chances to make it happen.

G-Eazy @ Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island (August 14th)

Despite going through a very public breakup with singer Halsey, G-Eazy has been killing it on his headlining tour. The tour is storming through Chicago in just over a week at the lakeside Huntington Bank Pavilion at Northerly Island. Tickets are still available for this one, so visit LiveNation.com while you still can.

Photo by Dan Garcia/The Early Registration

Jason Mraz @ Ravinia Festival (August 25th)

Jason Mraz blew us away with his beautiful performance last month, for the Special Olympic’s big 50th Anniversary concert. We loved the show so much, that we need to catch his full set when he returns to Chicagoland on August 25th, as the ‘Have It All’ singer is bringing his tour to the Ravinia Festival in Highland Park.

Keith Urban @ Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre (August 18th)

If you’re a fan of country music, than the premiere country concert in Chicago this month is Keith Urban and Kelsea Ballerini at the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in Tinley Park, IL. Trust us, it’s worth the drive, because Keith Urban always delivers and Ballerini is one of the biggest rising country stars in the genre today.

Sam Smith @ United Center (August 15th)

If you just want to witness someone with amazing pipes and love songs, than you need to head to the United Center on August 15th. Sam Smith is bringing his beautiful tracks to the house that Michael Jordan made famous, and you won’t want to miss out. He isn’t too good at goodbyes, but he is great when it comes to delivering an amazing performance.

So with so many talented performs sharing the stage, there are of course several songs that we need to hear before the night is over. From Jack Harlow’s big hits from the past two years to the Black Eyed Peas catalog of bangers from the last two decades, check out our set-list wish-list for Tuesday night’s concert.

Here’s our list of the 7 songs that we need to hear at Dallas’ iHeartRadio Jingle Ball this week:

“Boom Boom Pow” – Black Eyed Peas

We caught the Black Eyed Peas perform a career spanning setlist to help kick off night 1 of the iHeartRadio Music Festival a couple months in Las Vegas, and as a result they have our expectations high for Tuesday night. While they have several hit singles to choose from, we will certainly be disappointed if they don’t get the party started with their 2009 hit, “Boom Boom Pow”.

“All 4 Nothing” – Lauv

From his second studio album of the same name, Lauv’s single “All 4 Nothing” is certainly on our wishlist for Tuesday night’s concert. The track is just one of many standouts from the singer’s newest album, which released this past summer, but we won’t get too greedy.

“Dua Lipa” – Jack Harlow

Jack Harlow already has too many must hears to count but we definitely can’t leave the arena until we hear him perform his track “Dua Lipa”, which is of course dedicated to another Jingle Ball regular. We love ourselves some Dua Lipa and some Jack Harlow, so this is near the top of our list.

“Young Dumb & Broke” – Khalid

Khalid

Khalid won over the mainstream with his 2017 single “Young Dumb & Broke” and even though he has accomplished so much since then, we need to hear him pay homage to one of his OG singles that fans will surely sing from start to finish.

“Narcissist” – Lauren Spencer Smith

Lauren Spencer Smith won us over at the iHeartRadio Festival’s Daytime Village in Las Vegas earlier this year and we can’t wait for second helpings when she performs at the Jingle Ball in Dallas for 2022’s opening night. Her catalog is growing, which makes her perfect for the Jingle Ball stage, but of the few singles she has release, we definitely need to hear her 2022 single “Narcissist”.

“Someone You Loved” – Lewis Capaldi

Lewis Capaldi’s 2019 single “Someone You Loved” was his introduction to Top 40 radio in the United States just a few years ago, and ever since fans have fell in love. From his beautiful vocals to his cheeky personality, Capaldi is easy to root for so we’ll be rooting for him to perform his breakout single at the Dallas Jingle Ball.

“Kings & Queens” – Ava Max

Ava Max has an unmatched appeal and can record a pop song like not many others can. She is truly and artist and already has so many songs that are immensely addictive and catchy, one of course being her 2020 “Heaven & Hell” lead single, “King & Queens”.
